Khan began his cricket career while at Oxford, playing for the Worcestershire Cricket Club in England. He made his debut for the Pakistani national team in 1971, and would go on to become one of the greatest players in the country's history. Khan was an all-rounder, meaning he had expertise in both batting and bowling, and quickly rose through the ranks of international cricket.

Imran Khan also became a philanthropist early in his life. In 1988, he founded a cancer hospital in Lahore that is still operational today. He also used his celebrity status to raise awareness about important social issues such as poverty, education and women's rights.

Khan first became involved in politics in 1996 when he formed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, with the aim of bringing real change to Pakistan's politics. In 2002, he resigned from his post as the chairman of the party after facing criticism from within the party. However, Khan continued to be involved in politics and was a vocal critic of the Pakistani government during his cricketing days.

Khan returned to active politics in 2011 and began campaigning for the 2013 elections. Despite not having the same level of support as the two main parties, Khan managed to make significant gains in the elections, becoming a serious political force in Pakistan. In 2018, Khan was elected Prime Minister of Pakistan after winning a majority of seats in the national elections.

He quickly made a name for himself in the national cricket scene and was soon selected to play for the Pakistan national cricket team in 1976. Khan went on to have an illustrious international cricket career, and he is widely recognized as one of the greatest players in the history of the game.

Khan's batting style was powerful and aggressive, with a high strike rate and a penchant for hitting sixes. His bowling was fast and accurate, utilizing a variety of deliveries including the off-cutter and the in-swinger. In addition to his talent with bat and ball, he was also a brilliant captain who led Pakistan to their first-ever World Cup victory in 1992. Khan retired from international cricket in 1992 and continued to play in domestic tournaments until 1994.

founding of PTI

Imran Khan founded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in 1996. The party was formed to protest the policies of the Pakistan People's Party, which was then in power. PTI was intended to be a centrist party that would appeal to voters from all backgrounds.

The party's name, which translates as “Movement for Justice”, reflects Imran Khan's commitment to social justice. Khan believed that corruption, cronyism and nepotism had become pervasive in Pakistani politics, and he wanted to create an alternative force to challenge this status quo.

The party began its activities with a call for electoral reforms and increased accountability for elected officials. The party also sought to fight against extremism, violence, and religious intolerance. In 1998, the party released its election manifesto, outlining its main policies and aims.

Khan's leadership style was based on his charisma, personal appeal and strong anti-corruption stance. He focused on building a base of young voters, while also attracting those who were dissatisfied with the traditional parties.

In the 2002 elections, PTI made an impressive debut by winning one seat in the National Assembly. Over the years, Khan continued to build support for his party, leading it to become the third largest political party in the country.

Khan served as the chairman of PTI until 2014, when he resigned in order to run for Prime Minister in the 2018 elections. During this period, PTI gained significant support from the public, making it the second largest party in the National Assembly after winning 115 seats in the 2018 election.

In 2013, Khan launched a nationwide campaign called “Naya Pakistan” or “New Pakistan” and promised to reform politics and combat corruption. This ultimately proved successful and PTI emerged as the single largest party in the 2018 general elections, winning 116 seats and allowing Khan to become Prime Minister of Pakistan.
